Board

The Board of MCA - Honduras is the authority ultimately responsible for compliance with the responsibilities and obligations of the Government of Honduras through MCA - Honduras according to the Compact. It is composed of five members with the right to voice and vote. In addition to these, there are seven observers who attend Board Meetings with right to voice only.


The 5 members of the Board are:

• Ministry of the Presidency (SDP)

• Ministry of Finance (SEFIN)

• Ministry of Industry and Commerce (SIC)

• Two representatives of Civil Society


The observers are:

• A representative named by each one of the following governmental organizations:
  - Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (SAG)
  - Ministry of Public Works, Transportation and Housing (SOPTRAVI)
  - Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (SERNA)
  - Honduran Fund for Social Investment (FHIS)

• A representative named by each one of the following organizations of the civil society:
  - National Anticorruption Council (CNA)
  - National forum of Convergence (FONAC)
  - Consultative Council of the Poverty Reduction Strategy (CCERP)
  - Honduran Council of the Private Sector (COHEP)

• A representative of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)

At any given time 2 of the 4 Civil Society observers will be voting members of the Board, alternating between them every15 months.

The Board will be presided over by the Minister of the Presidency.
