Opening of expressions of interest to prepare environmental management plans for the construction of the Tegucigalpa - Taulabe section of Highway CA-5

Tegucigalpa.- Conducted by MCA-Honduras staff, the opening act of expressions of interest for the “Preparation of Environmental Management Plans for the North and South Sections of Highway the CA-5 North (Central American Highway)”, recently took place in Tegucigalpa.

Under the direction of MCA-Honduras Transportation Project, consulting services for the preparation of the Environmental Management Plans (EMP of Highway CA-5 North) will be aimed to define the programs, activities, tasks and necessary costs to implement mitigation measures, as well as the monitoring and institutional actions needed in order to avoid adverse environmental impacts, or to reduce them to acceptable levels in an efficient and suitable way.

The EMP will provide indications on how the environmental aspects will have to be implemented and dealt with by contractors and other key actors.
The process was opened to firms, ONG, and OPD to submit their expressions of interest and participate in the selection of the Short List, who will be subsequently invited to present proposals.

MCA-Honduras staff in charge of conducting the opening act included Gustavo Acosta, Environmental and Social Impact Director; Ada Zelaya, Procurement Specialist; and,  Iris Elizabeth Valle, MCA – Honduras Accountant.
