“United Economy Project “Starts Construction Of Irrigation Systems In Belen Gualcho

  
     
 

Belen Gualcho, Ocotepeque.- The communities of Belen Gualcho and San Francisco del Valle have enthusiastically initiated the construction of the works for the connections of the irrigation systems that have been included in the “United Economy” project, currently being implemented by the Honduras Brotherhood Association and co-financed by the Millennium Challenge Account - Honduras.

The construction of the irrigation systems began con a curtain or dam and a tank to filter the sand that will be located at the water sources known as “La Guitarrilla”  in the community of Sinacar in San Francisco de Vale, and at the “Quebrada Cerro Verde” in El Cedro, Belen Gualcho; for that purpose, experienced local constructors were hired in each one of the communities.

The works are to be completed by mid-March, in order to proceed with the installation of tubes for the irrigation systems.
