From the moments works started on February 13th, there has been intense activity working up to 12-hours daily, including weekends. As a result, 40% of the walls has been already completed by now. The Project counts with support from the firm in charge of the works, and from that of the constructors and other workers, who in their main parte are residents of La Fe, Santa Barbara. These neighbors are pleased with the execution of the works, since besides generating good income for their families, will benefit the community as a whole. The goal is to have the Coffee Hybrids Laboratory completed by mid-September, 2008, in order to begin the hybrids reproduction process according to the somatic embryogenesis methodology, and make seedlings available for the coffee growers –men and women-. |
