| | | | Tegucigalpa, April 7, 2008.- As part of the execution of projects included in the Farms to Market Roads Activity of the Millennium Challenge Account-Honduras, interested firms presented proposals for the supervision of the two lots of rural roads that comprise 390.7 km of roads prioritized by municipalities of the Olancho, Colon, Yoro, Francisco Morazán, Choluteca and Valle departments. | |
| | This first process of rural roads will assist 27 municipalities that participated in the invitation addressed by MCA-Honduras nationwide, and it represents part of the advances achieved by the project to enhance farms to market roads. The selected rural roads represent a high economic profitability for the area since they will allow better transportation of agricultural products to the markets, and will facilitate the access of the population to educational and health services. It is expected that works to improve these lots start by July of the present year. | |
