Building a reservoir for the community of La Mohaga

  
     
 

Belen Gualcho, April 2008.- In the community of La Mohaga a reservoir is currently being built for the storage of irrigation water.  The works are being carried out by approximately 30 local residents, and once completed, the reservoir will benefit at least 100 families of La Mohaga, Conal and Zarzal.

The construction of this reservoir will allow installation of irrigation systems for nearly twenty hectares, benefiting approximately sixty families dedicated to large scale production of vegetables, thus increasing production and improving earnings and living conditions for the local residents.
Construction works started in April and are expected to finish by May, 2008.

This activity makes part of the Integrated Production System Project financed by the Millennium Challenge Account and implemented by Global Village.
