Secretary of Agriculture and Livestock visited Hydro Energetic Horticulture Project
The Secretary of Agriculture and Livestock, Jacobo Regalado, visited the Hydro Energetic Horticulture Project, funded by the Millennium Challenge Account-Honduras, and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Office (FAO). He was accompanied by Geovani Perez, director of the Agricultural Research and Training Department (DICTA), and Hector Tablas, director of the Access to Land Pilot Project (PACTA).
During the visit, the officials learned about two types of dams and three pumping systems, as well as water storage tanks and the pipelines that go to the plots.
“These are your systems, and their service life depends on the maintenance and use each of the beneficiaries gives to them”, said the Secretary to the Project’s beneficiary farmers.
“We congratulate the Millennium Challenge Account for the promotion of innovative projects, such as this one”, said Jacobo Regalado.
