Opening of Bids for the Construction of the “Millennium Interchange” Conducted
Officers of the Millennium Challenge Account – Honduras, participated in the opening of bids for the Construction of the Millennium Interchange.
Three companies presented bids for this work, namely: ASTALDI, ETERNA and FCC Construcción, which once their bids have been known, should wait for the decision of the Evaluating Committee that will verify the correctness of the information presented and the bid´s compliance with selection requirements.
The “Millennium Interchange” Project is located in the section currently under construction, Tegucigalpa - Río del Hombre at Segment I of the CA-5 North Highway, and represents an important solution to free up vehicles traffic at the Fuerzas Armadas Boulevard and to safely lead vehicles traffic. As an additional element, the Millennium Interchange will constitute a modern road infrastructure work that will embellish the capital city.
It is expected that the construction works of the Millennium Interchange will be executed over a 14 months period which will begin with the works start up estimated for June of the present year.
