The Millennium Challenge Account – Honduras recognizes the support of partners institutions



Tegucigalpa.- Marco Bográn,General Director of the Millennium Challenge Account – Honduras and Esther Alemán, Director of the Transportation Project, delivered recognition certificates to public institutions for having provided an efficient support in the handling of the processes required in the execution of the Millennium Challenge Account projects.

Representatives from the contractor companies Eterna and M&S/Santa Fe, in charge of the Works for improvement and enhancing of the CA-5 North Highway, currently under construction in the Segment Tegucigalpa – Beginning of the Comayagua Valleyen were also present during the recognition.

Institution that received this recognition for their contribution to the success of the Millennium Challenge Account – Honduras are the Dirección Ejecutiva de Ingresos, DEI; the Ministry of Finance(SEFIN); the Dirección de Migración y Extranjería; and the Ministry of the Interior.

Marco Bogran, the Millennium Challenge Account – Honduras General Director, handed out the recognition to Pastor Aguilera, representative of th Ministry of the Interior.

Esther Aleman, Transportation Director of the MCA-H handed out the recognition to Leticia Galdamez, representative of the SEFIN Department of Custom Duties for the support provided.

Pompilio Obando, representantive of Contractor company Eterna, also participated in the event delivering the recognition to the institutions that have supported the MCA - H Projects.

Sergio Salazar, representative of Contractor M&S/Santa Fe handed out the recognition to the DEI for their efficient handling of the processes in the execution of the MCA - H projects.

Marco Bográn reported that the event was held with the purpose of thanking these institutions staff and to report of the efforts and achievements made in the implementation of the Millennium Challenge Account – Honduras and how their support has been fundamental to meeting the projects´ goals.

It was recognized during the event that the success of the Millennium Challenge Account – Honduras is also the success of all those involved in each proceeding, process or decision required to launch projects of such complexity as those executed by this Program.

The recognition event was possible thanks to the joint effort of the Program Administrating Unit and its contractors, whom through this act thanked the key staff of these institutions for the support provided in the execution of the improvement and enhancing Works of the main communication route in the country.

The joint work of all stakeholders engaged in the country´s economic growth has directly benefitted, through the development of the Works constructed by the Millennium Challenge Account – Honduras more than 1.3 million people and has generated some 4,000 temporary jobs per year.
